Health Insurance and Medicare Planning

The Tri-State Legacy Group’s mission is to ensure that your assets are protected during every season of your life. With that in mind, we believe that every person we serve should have an extended care plan in the event that they become temporarily or permanently unable to function as they normally would. We pride ourselves on being a resource to those in need of the following:

MEDICARE PLANNING

Medicare is for people who are 65 or older, certain younger folks with disabilities, and anyone with End-Stage Renal Disease or ERSD. Medicare Part A, also described as hospital insurance, covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some health care. Medicare Part B, also described as medical insurance, covers certain doctor’s services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventative services. Medicare Part D, also described as prescription drug coverage, adds prescription drug coverage to original Medicare, some Medicare Cost Plans, some Medicare-Fee for Service Plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans.

DISABILITY INSURANCE (INDIVIDUAL & GROUP)

This type of insurance is crucial to replacing a small or large portion of the insured’s income during an extended absence from work due to injury.

HEALTH INSURANCE

Health insurance is a plan that covers your medical expenses. Like auto insurance covers your car if you get into an accident, health insurance covers you if you get sick or injured. Health insurance also covers preventive care –such as doctor’s visits and tests before you get sick.

Depending on your situation, you may have to purchase health insurance on an individual basis or gain access to it through your employer. Regardless of the situation, we can help you weigh out your options to determine which plan best suits you!

LONG TERM CARE PLANNING

Long-term care (LTC) insurance is coverage that provides nursing-home care, home health care, personal or adult day care for individuals age 65 or older or with a chronic or disabling condition that needs constant supervision. LTC insurance offers more flexibility and options than many public assistance programs.

SPECIFIED & CRITICAL ILLNESS PLANNING

This type of insurance is there to provide a lump sum of money to the insured when a qualifying event occurs, such as a heart attack or being diagnosed with cancer. Having this type of plan in place can aid in paying hospital bills & replacing lost income during recovery.

OVERALL BENEFITS OF HAVING AN EXTENDED CARE PLAN

Ensure that there is no loss of income for the insured during a qualifying event.

Ensure that you have a plan in place that is understandable & built with a purpose in mind.

Ensure that assets are there to pay for home health care or a nursing home.
